Here is the patch where we will soon be living. Its a lovely leafy block at the end of a dead-end street close to the creek.
Here it is from the back. It has a nice little elevation so we plan to build up and make the most of the view. The trees on the right of this picture are full of Bell Birds which make a distinctive rain-foresty call. I absloutely love the sound and it makes me feel like I am suddenly transported out of the heart of Melbourne into the bush.
The block was formerly used by the house next door as a big garden. Aparantly the original owners had cows grazing here. We have always joked that we need our own cow to fulfill the neverending milk requirements of our house of 5. I have plans for a in-ground trampoline however, which probably wouldn't mix well with a personal mobile milk suppling beast.
Tres excitement! You could always get a goat...
ReplyDeleteI have no experience of goats either but i bet u had one as a child in Morrocco! are they nice?
